I met Vera through a mutual friend, Randy Hunt. You can see him here. Vera owns Vera Meat, a jewelry boutique shop – that is so awesome and you need to go visit her at the flagship store on 9th Street in New York. She came to America at the age of 14 through a modeling career. Fred Meat is her puppy which you will see at the shop trying to steal treats from customers. Some of Vera’s favourite pieces that she’s designed are the dino eating fried chicken ring, spine bracelet & the dino lady necklace. Seriously – great imagination and playfulness is what you’ll find in her store and in her jewelry creations.

This year I spent Thanksgiving with friends Megan, Paul and Brady, and dogs Pepper and Rufus.

I know Amy Stroup from when she was living in Abilene, TX. She was finishing up high school, and in full pursuit of music. Very exciting to see talented people you know doing things that they really love. Amy had a big show at the The Prophet Bar Sunday night, and Monday played at the Highland Park Village Anthropologie before flying out to continue her El Topaz Tour.
